This site has been designed for Internet Explorer 6 and tried out (not extensively) on recent versions of Firefox, Mozilla and Opera. There are minor differences in how pages are visualised.

JavaScript

JavaScript is used on this site for various functions, and in the future it will be used to add interactive exercises. If you have Java disabled these functions will not work.

In particular, thanks to Ger Verslius for the JavaScript used in the tools & terms menu.

Flash

The lateral menus of almost all pages are in Flash. To navigate the site as intended, you need to have Macromedia Flash Player installed and enabled. Without Flash you can still find everything through the site map.

This text has been designed around a unicode font in order to display phonetic script in a simple way for users.

If the phonetic script is the same as (or similar to) the correct image, then you already have the font. Instead, if it has boxes and fat bars in place of some characters, as in the image at bottom, go to visualising the phonetic script for details on how to download and install the font.

Do you have a working plug-in?

You can also listen to the pronunciation of the script, but to do so you may need to install, upgrade or configue an audio plug-in for your browser.

To find out if you already have sound, check your basic audio equipment then click on the button on the right. If you hear a whistle, everything works. If not go to browser plug-ins.
